At Circulate, we are accelerating the green transition by revolutionizing the packaging industry. Our solution makes it easy for product companies to transition to sustainable packaging, automate and comply with reporting. We have already received 1,700 requests from customers all around Europe and experience strong market demand. Our top-tier in-house tech and data team are launching our new fully automated packaging platform, which makes us well-positioned to now scale the sales and marketing team. The time has come to recruit our commercial star, who will be taking charge of building a strong positioning and sales among packaging buyers across Europe.
As our commercial star, you will be instrumental in achieving our growth targets. You will work closely with the rest of the leadership team, playing a pivotal role in building and shaping Circulate. We are not looking for an employee but for a partner in crime building an exceptional company together.

What you will do:
At Circulate, we guide packaging buyers to the best sustainable packaging solutions and grow a marketplace of packaging sellers aligned with our mission through AI and human advice. As our commercial leader, you will drive this transformation, handling relationships with key packaging buyers and expanding our vendor ecosystem.
We are currently in an exciting phase, building a business of self-serve customers, boosted by a number of larger 'mega' clients. This presents a significant growth opportunity for our business and for you as a potential candidate.
Your key responsibilities will include the following, where you will be fully accountable for the execution supported by a small team:
Commercial Strategy & Ownership: As a key player in our growth, you will be responsible for all commercial activities, from developing and executing our sales and marketing strategies to identifying and capturing growth opportunities.
Sales Leadership & Key Accounts: Lead strategic sales initiatives, build relationships with key packaging buyers, and manage large accounts (together with the packaging manager).
Ensure a high-performing digital business by ensuring the site is selling, funneling from marketing to conversion, and restocking. Optimize our online sales processes, manage tracking tools, and leverage metrics to drive success.
Grow existing business: Lead customer success operations to drive retention, client satisfaction, and increased share of wallet.
Be the voice of the customer - you will be a key contributor building Circulate and our product/solution, as you possess a deep understanding/obsession of our customers and their needs
Marketing: Set strategy and lead external parties to design and implement effective marketing campaigns, driving lead generation and expanding our marketplace reach
Order to delivery: overseeing customer- and vendor coordination to ensure perfect fulfillment of orders, including customer support team
Assortment Expansion: Ensure we have the right assortment to meet customers’ needs. Overlook team to onboard new vendors, expanding our marketplace with innovative and cost-efficient sustainable packaging solutions.
Co-lead our company: You will work closely with the CEO and CTO to reach our ambitious goals and together build the most profitable impact unicorn to date.
Who we think you are:
You are passionate about having an impact, have a commercial mindset, are experienced in sales and partnership management, and are ready to lead in a fast-paced environment. You are someone who can think strategically, roll up your sleeves to execute with precision, convince people of your ideas, move fast, and help us drive real change in the packaging industry. And can work in a startup with constant uncertainty and unknowns.
10+ years' experience in a commercial/growth/client-facing role, ideally in B2B Saas, marketplace or ecom
A proven track record of taking a startup to scale up, having been a key contributor to growth and business expansion goals
A deep understanding of sales growth - from brand development to customer success and retention.
You possess the rare ability to alternate between being strategic and a hands-on hustler
Sales-driven and goal-oriented, with a strong drive to meet and exceed targets.
You're organized enough to navigate and thrive in startup chaos, and you can manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
Strong negotiation and communication skills and a passion for building long-term relationships are second nature to you.
Experience with online sales and leading marketing initiatives is a plus.
Fluency in English is a requirement, additional European language(s) a valued bonus
Experience in a startup or scale-up environment and a background in the packaging industry are highly valued.
